Getting here and arrival
Check-in is from 3pm and check-out is at 11am. You're welcome to arrive earlier. Swim Club and restaurants are yours to use from the moment you get here.
After check-out, stay for lunch or a swim before you head off. We'll ask for a card to keep on file for any extras during your stay.
Parking is free for hotel guests. We have five electric car charging points in the lower car park, next to the sheep shed. Download the 'Monta EV Charging' app for more information. The units are untethered, so bring your own lead. Once you're charged, please free up the space for other guests.

Penrith is the closest mainline train station, nearer than Windermere or other Lake District stations. Full directions and public transport options are on our contact page. You can also call us on 01768 486442.
Booking
Book directly through the website. Availability shown online is live and up to date. If you can't find what you're looking for, it may be that a room type isn't available, or you need interconnecting rooms, email our reservations team to discuss your options.
Payment is taken in full at the time of booking, please read our booking terms for full details.
All prices are per room, per night, based on two people sharing, except family suites, which are priced per room per night up to the room's maximum occupancy. Packages such as Escape to the Lake which are priced per person.
Yes, we do have a guest app. Here you will be able to start building your itinerary from the moment you book your room, including your breakfast and dinner times, treatments, activities and to view menus. For the time being, you can so all of the above through our website.

Payment
Payment is taken in full at the time of booking. We're a cashless business and accept Visa and Mastercard only.
Rooms
Every room has a robe, land&water toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and hand sanitiser), a fridge with water and milk, tea and coffee making facilities, a hairdryer, iron and ironing board, Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV and a Ruark Bluetooth radio speaker.
We don't provide shower caps, body lotion, sewing kits or slippers.
Not all our rooms have a lake view. We have six categories of room. Standard double rooms (no lake view), better rooms (partial lake view rooms), best rooms, family suites, family cottages and suites/family rooms which have views of the lake. View our rooms page for more information.
Every room is en-suite with a shower, but not all have a bath — some have a separate bath, some a shower over bath and some are shower only. Email our reservations team for specific details.

Swim Club
Swim Club is our take on a spa and includes a 20-metre indoor heated pool, hot tub, sauna and gym, all available to hotel guests, open 7am–9pm daily. Adult-only times are 7am–9am and 6pm–9pm; the hot tub and sauna are for guests aged 16 and over.
There's also a cardio room with a cross-trainer, rowing machine, treadmill and fitness bike, plus free weights, medicine balls and yoga mats. The shallow end of the pool is ideal for younger children and families.
Swim Club is for hotel guests only, but we do have a limited number of memberships for locals. Spa treatments, are open to both guests and non-residents, book online or speak to the team on arrival.
Dining
There are four places to eat and drink.
Rampsbeck Restaurant is our hotel restaurant, open to residents for breakfast (7.30am–10am) and dinner (6pm–9pm). You can choose from a two-course or three-course dinner option, view a sample menu. Booking is strongly recommended. Families are encouraged to book between 6pm and 7pm, view a children's menu. Rampsbeck is not dog friendly.
The Living Space is our casual dining option, open 12pm–3pm and 5pm–9pm, view a sample menu. The Living Space is dog friendly. Guests with dogs can also order breakfast from Rampsbeck Restaurant and dine in here during their stay. The Living Space is family friendly and has a children’s menu.
Open to non-residents through the day with bookings required for dinner, however, on occasion we will need to close to non-residents when we are busy.
The Glasshouse is our pizza restaurant on the lake grounds. Open Thursday to Monday, midday to 5pm (8pm on Friday and Saturday). The Glasshouse is open to non-resident guests and resident guests on a walk-in basis. Bookings are not necessary. View the menu.
The Brackenrigg Inn is our local pub, just a short distance up the road from the hotel. Find out more.
We don't do a formal afternoon tea, but scones, cake, coffee and tea are available throughout the day on The Living Space menu.
Dogs
Yes, Another Place, The Lake is dog friendly, with many dog-friendly rooms and three dog-friendly restaurants: The Living Space, The Glasshouse and The Brackenrigg Inn.

Children and families
Yes, children are very welcome at Another Place, The Lake. Additional occupants aged 3 and over are charged at 25% of the double room rate; family suites are priced per night up to maximum occupancy.
Travel cots are available for children up to three years old. Babysitting can be arranged on request for a charge.

Children's menus are available at Rampsbeck Restaurant and The Living Space. We encourage families to book dinner at Rampsbeck between 6pm and 7pm. Find out more about family stays.
The local area
The nearest grocery store is two miles away in Pooley Bridge, and Penrith — a 15-minute drive — has a pharmacy, cash machine and larger shops. We stock a few essentials at front desk for anything urgent.

Gift cards
Yes. Our gift cards can be used for a drink at the bar, a spa treatment or a stay. Order online or we can post one out to you.
