A relaxed, contemporary hotel on the shores of Ullswater in the Lake District. Another Place, The Lake is for taking it easy with your favourite people, exploring the wilderness, swimming beneath a full moon, paddleboarding across the lake, eating and drinking well, letting go and having a good time.

Get out on the lake with an open-water swim or stand-up paddleboard session, relax into a Swim Club massage or soak in the outdoor hot tub. Gaze across to the fells, hike through the morning mist, come back inside for a pre-dinner cocktail by the fire.

Easter's calling
Our Kids’ Zone comes into its own during the holidays – filling days with imagination-firing action for ages six months to 12 years, and all included in the cost of your stay. Let them feel the wild with forest school sessions, campfire cookery and nature-based crafting.
Take to the water and glide across Ullswater on a paddleboard or kayak, or brave a stargazing or guided open water swim.
We still have some family shepherd huts, interconnecting rooms and large doubles with room for a cot or child’s bed available.
