The original Georgian house is filled with light, contemporary spaces. New parts of the building take cues from the hotel’s heritage, with original features taking their place alongside bold textiles and modernist furniture.
Inside are 40 bedrooms, two restaurants, the library and Swim Club; our take on a spa, with treatment rooms and a 20 metre lake view swimming pool, outdoor hot tub and sauna.
Outside, close to the lakeshore and within the landscaped gardens, is a large, contemporary treehouse, six shepherd huts with stargazing roofs and a Victorian style Glasshouse serving pizza and cocktails. There’s also a ‘Sheep Shed’ lakeside activity cabin for warm, year-round changing.
Our Outside rooms and spaces bring guests closer to wilds of the Lake District.
