OUR HOTEL IN THE LAKE DISTRICT
Warm hospitality and contemporary comfort combine with views over Ullswater and the fells. Another Place, The Lake is for taking it easy with your favourite people, exploring the wilderness, swimming beneath a full moon, paddleboarding across the lake, eating and drinking well, letting go and having a good time.
Our rooms
Choose rooms in the original Georgian house or contemporary wing, filled with light. Suites with views across the lake and cosy doubles for settling into. Outside, within the landscaped gardens are six shepherd huts, a large treehouse and family cottages.
Artist in Residence
13–15 May
Landscape artist, Emma Carlisle, will be painting and sketching around the hotel and grounds. Watch her work, talk to her about her inspiration.
Wild swim camp
13-15 May
Three-day swim camp led by open water swimming expert Colin Hill. Develop your cold swimming techniques, explore the bays and islands of the Ullswater Valley.

We’re bringing the Wimbledon courtside atmosphere, lakeside, with an open-air cinema screen and strawberries, cream and Champagne Laurent-Perrier from the vintage Citroen van.

Dogs
With Lake District trails on our doorstep and 18 acres of parkland to play in, Another Place is perfect for families with dogs. All our of shepherd huts and many of our hotel rooms are dog friendly along with the Glasshouse and Living Space restaurant.
Work from anywhere
Extend the weekend into your working week and stay a little longer. Move your office to Another Place. We have space to work, rest, eat and time to get outdoors.
