Relax at Swim Club
Our take on a spa, Swim Club is a collection of secluded spaces where you can relax or be active. It includes a 20-metre indoor pool, an outdoor hot tub, a sauna, a cardio room and treatment rooms. Open daily to all hotel guests.
Poolside
Flanked by two walls of glass, the pool has views that blur the boundary between you and your lakeside location. A skylight floods the pool with further natural light – you can float beneath the clouds, indoors. Slate flagstones surround the pool and ultra-violet filters in the water keep the pool low on chlorine. For young children, the pool has a shallow area. The pool hall leads to the outdoor hot tub – plain and simple, with no bubbles or jets – and the sauna.
The hotel swimming pool is open from 7am to 9pm with dedicated adult and family swim times.
Hot tub and sauna
Accessed from the pool area, the sauna and hot tub are designed for soothing aching bodies after a day scrambling up fells or hours spent paddling up the lake. Inviting the views in, glass doors on the sauna give glimpses of the lake and Arthur’s Pike, on the other side of Ullswater.
Step outside and you can plunge in to our heated outdoor hot tub. Swedish in design, meant for warming up your toes while you soak in the views. It is sheltered, but expect to watch the snow fall close enough to touch in winter.
Treatments
The treatment rooms are for treating yourself. There are two of them – one double and a single – as well as a treatment snug. All are private, low lit and attended by experienced therapists.
Cardio room
Ready for working up a sweat. You’ll find a matrix hybrid cross-trainer and rowing machine, a treadmill and a fitness bike. We also have free weights, medicine balls and yoga mats.
Swim & Dine
Spend the evening in Swim Club.
Swim in the pool, take a dip in the outdoor hot tub and eat later in Rampsbeck Restaurant.
Arrive from 6pm. £60 per person including a three course dinner in Rampsbeck Restaurant.
Available Sunday to Thursday outside of school holidays. Subject to availability.
Day membership
Book day membership if you would like to visit Swim Club but aren’t staying with us.
Day membership includes access to Swim Club and our 20 metre lake-view swimming pool, sauna and outdoor hot tub, as well as a treatment of your choice and use of the cardio room.

Swim Club memberships
Our Swim Club is open to locals through a limited number of 6 and 12 month memberships, giving you access to the pool, hot tub, sauna and cardio room.
