THE EAMONT WAY

Right in the heart of the Lake District the 8.8km Eamont Way connects the historic town of Penrith, to our neighbouring village of Pooley Bridge, with an option to route back to the hotel.

Relatively easy walk, with a gentle gradient and no major climbs, the path is marked all the way with a logo featuring an eel. Historically, eels used to be fished out of the lake during the 1860’s by the horse load! This route navigates through the River Eamont valley.
