Born on the shoreline, land&water evokes that warm glow after time in the elements.

Inspired by years of enjoying this ‘active relaxation’ lifestyle at her family’s Watergate Bay Hotel (sister hotel to Another Place, The Lake), land&water founder Pix Ashworth set about capturing its essence – to, literally, bottle it.
“Relaxation can be an increased heart-rate, if it’s an experience that makes you feel more alive and resets your headspace,” Pix explains. “For us, it’s about awakening the senses with day-seizing moments, as much as resting adventure-tired limbs. Time outside makes us feel better inside.”

Sparked by being in, on, or looking out over water, and the invigorating and restorative effect it has on us – and created in collaboration with leading apothecarist and perfumer Richard Howard – land&water products capture that emotion with a blend of buoyant citrus and serene, green and woody notes.
“I have an easy and uncomplicated relationship with the elements,” says Pix. “They always seem to leave me feeling positive, energised and calm. I get the same sense of exhilaration and calm wherever that unique combination of land and water exists: by a river, by the sea, by a lake, even a stream.”
Using a 100% vegan palette of fruit, flower and plant essential oils, as well as botanical actives identified through the latest advances in bio-technology (including moisturising and rejuvenating samphire, spike moss and sea buckthorn extracts), land&water blends carefully chosen ingredients with insight, imagination and scientific expertise – for fresh skin invigoration and an elevated sense of wellbeing. Feel the journey from cold waves to warm firesides, long walks to slow baths; breathlessness to gentleness – and back again.

“Nothing beats that feeling of coming inside to hot showers, good food, drinks and company after time in the elements with the wind, sun, salt or rain on your skin,” says Watergate Bay and Another Place CEO, and Pix’s husband, Will Ashworth. “It’s at the heart of our hotels’ experience, and Pix and her team have done a fantastic job of translating that sense of both exhilaration and peace into the land&water collection.”
