Guest blog: Amelia Le Brun photography

Born in Germany, raised in Jamaica and landscape photographer for everywhere in between. Amelia LeBrun has chosen the Lake District as one of her favourite destinations; looking through the photos featured on her Instagram, it’s clear to see why. Here’s what happened when she visited Another Place.

The Lake District is, in my opinion one of the most beautiful places in England. We spent the most perfect three days based at Another Place Hotel on the shores of Ullswater. Days were spent hiking the surrounding fells, exploring hidden cafes along the cobbled streets of Keswick and battling the winds on Ullswater via Kayaks (a real learning curve!)

The evenings passed relaxing by the fire in the Library and eating the most delicious food. We were greeted with the kind of weather you expect for the North of England in March; rain, heavy fog and wind. The perfect excuse to make the most of the best breakfast waffles ever and a Thermos full of coffee before heading out to explore. The landscapes of The Lake District are ever changing, and ever evolving. I don’t think a lifetime in this place would suffice.
