The Victorian-style Glasshouse is the closest building to the water’s edge. Neatly positioned next to the vegetable and herb garden with an outside terrace and panoramic views of the lake.

Part of ‘Outside’: our naturally inspiring new rooms and spaces within the grounds of Another Place, the Victorian-style Glasshouse takes you closer to the wild.
Here, big skies, panoramic lake views and woodfired pizza are the order of the day.
Near the lakeshore, between the Jubilee orchard and the vegetable and herb garden, the Glasshouse hosts everything from feast nights, to yoga classes and swim camps, to creative workshops.
The Victorian-style Glasshouse is the closest building to the water’s edge.
Wander through the gardens to the Glasshouse for coffee and cocktails – or choose from our pizza menu.
A terrace outside under the shade of the oak tree makes the most of the lake and fell views in warm weather, and there’s plenty of seating inside for cooler days.
Bookings are not required.
The Glasshouse is dog friendly.
Also available for private hire and community gatherings on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Open Thursday – Monday: Midday until 2.30pm and 3pm to 5pm.

Game, set & match
Swap the frenzy of Henman Hill for Ullswater’s fells as we serve up a tennis experience on the Glasshouse lawn. From Centre Court Wimbledon action and classic films on our open-air cinema screen, to strawberries and cream matched with ice-cold Champagne Laurent-Perrier Cuvée Rosé from Rosie the vintage Citroen van, and pizza from the Glasshouse.
We’re bringing the courtside atmosphere, lakeside.
Private hire
Away days, brainstorms and ‘blue-sky’ thinking, all beneath the changing sky. Stargazing, family reunions and birthday dinners. The Glasshouse is open for private hire and community gatherings on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Active breaks
With panoramic views of the fells and sky, the Glasshouse will host our series of annual active breaks. Join a two-night yoga or Pilates, and wild swim camp with expert tuitions and workshops.
