This is a wild swimming adventure. Explore the secluded bay of Kailpot on Ullswater with expert tuition from Colin Hill. Children age 10-17 years need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian. All participants must be able to swim a minimum of 200m. £45pp.

This is for anybody looking to improve their technique. Without the confines of a pool, the long swim allows you to get in to your stride, making points for improvement easy to identify. Push yourself using the safety and knowledge of Colin Hill, who has spent his career training athletes. Challenge yourself on a one-mile swim from one side of the lake to another. It wouldn’t be Halloween without a bit of pumpkin carving. For ages 4 and over, choose your gourd, then, with the assistance of local artist Kelly Gimson, create your own terrifying ghoul to chase the spirits away. £5.50 pp.

Learn about our Milky Way from Robert Ince. Light pollution is low in this area of the Lakes, so you will have the chance to gaze upon hundred, if not thousands more stars than more built up areas. Prices are £15 for adults and £7.50 for children, starts at 7.30PM

Set in the grounds, this ghoulish walk is guaranteed to make you scream. This year the Headless Gardener, The Axeman and The Knocker will be hidden deep in the dark forest, waiting. Top tip; this is a live theatre event and is truly terrifying. Attend to the earlier sessions if your children are under 8 years old. £10 per adult, £8 per child over 3.
