CHRISTMAS BREAKS IN THE LAKE DISTRICT

Join family and friends in the Lake District for Christmas at Another Place, The Lake. All you have to worry about on our four-night Christmas break is packing your woolly socks and swimming trunks – we’ll take care of the rest. Kick back, relax and get outdoors in the fresh mountain air.

23 December

Arrive early. Leave your bags and explore. Find a spot by the fire for mulled wine and a mince pie. Spend some quiet time in the library while the children are happy with hot chocolate and Christmas crafts and games.

Christmas Eve

We’re hoping the fells will be topped with snow and you can get outside for a brisk walk. There’ll be archery, guided walks or get on the lake with one of our sports.

Go for a dip in the outdoor hot tub, or relax in the pool. Take today at your own pace.

Later, take part in our carol singing, or join us around the tree for nibbles and champage.

Christmas Day 

There’ll be a Champagne breakfast with waffles and Father Christmas will make an appearance with gifts for all the children.

Lunch is a festive feast with all the trimmings. After crackers curl up in the library, lounge in Swim Club or get outside and walk off lunch ready for a buffet supper in the evening.

Boxing Day

Take some time over brunch and then gather the family for a ride on Ullswater Steamer. Explore outside, there’ll be cake afterwards.

27 December

Make your final day one to remember before saying goodbye to new friends and heading home.

Booking terms

25% discount for sole occupancy of a room.

Price per child sharing parents’ room 
Children under 3 years old (sleeping in a cot) stay free of charge.
Children 3-12 years are charged  50% of tariff.

Please note that children under 3 years cannot be included in the children’s supervision sessions.

Children in own room
First two children – 85% of double room rate + 35% for each additional child. 

Early supper will be served at 5pm each day in the restaurant for all children up to 12 years. Evening supervision sessions are available in the Kids Zone for children aged 3-7 years and 7-12 years. 

Children staying in their own room cannot be booked online.

Dogs
Guests are permitted to bring a maximum of two dogs per room, charged at £15 per night for the first dog and £5 per night for an additional dog.
