Professor Pumpernickel Halloween Special Science Show

Join the popular blue haired Professor Pumpernickel for an explosive never seen before show created just for Rheged. Learn about the science behind fireworks whilst watching exploding, smoking pumpkins. The professor invites you into his spooky lab for a fun, freaky science show.

Parental supervision required. Due to the content of the show there will be some loud noises, bangs, dry ice and smoke.

Follow Alice down the rabbit hole in Christopher Wheeldon’s exuberant ballet, inspired by Lewis Carroll’s much loved book.

At a garden party on a sunny afternoon, Alice is surprised to see her parents’ friend Lewis Carroll transform into a white rabbit. When she follows him down a rabbit hole events become curiouser and curiouser…

Llama Karma Cafe with Animal Encounters

Join the Llama Karma Cafe for a hands-on workshop to meet all their weird & wonderful animals for this Halloween special which includes slithering snakes, Cusco the tortoise, newts, lizards and creepy crawlies.

Join Woodstone learning to make your very own pet clay owl and create your own magical willow wand to help with your Halloween spells.

Are your kids interested in taking photos? If they are, this is a great Autumn workshop to develop their photography skills through fun and engaging activities, whilst surrounded by the beautiful colours of Autumn. Taking pictures from a ‘worms view’, freezing motion and capturing movement and making pictures stand out with some simple techniques? Just some of the things covered during the fun session with local professional photographer, Rod Ireland.

Please note all children attending the workshop should bring a camera. Can be anything from a phone camera to a professional DSLR.

The highly praised Leeds company Tutti Frutti and York Theatre Royal have teamed up again, after their critically acclaimed production of Underneath a Magical Moon. This time they are staging a new adaptation by Olivier Award nominated writer Emma Reeves of Hans Christian Andersen’s much-loved tale – The Ugly Duckling.
