Kendal Mountain Festival is a 4 day event, from 14-17 November.
It celebrates the best from the outdoor industry, from film making to equipment. The Festival is based in Kendal, which is about a 45 minute drive from the hotel. At the heart of the event is an international film competition. The film festival attracts world premieres, featuring the best directors, writers and videographers for the outdoor adventure and culture genres. Each year the festival organisers curate over 240 entries, narrowing it down to a schedule of 100. Films that cover many genres, including culture, drama, adventure, wildlife and conservation.
You will also find speakers from across the industry, who capture the audiences with their adventures. Headline speakers include the event hosts, Chris Sir Bonington and Leo Houlding. The event is also great for children. Young outdoor enthusiasts are offered a special programme of films, talks and free events.
