We are looking to recruit a sous chef with previous experience in a busy kitchen to join our talented team in Another Place The Lake.
The successful candidate will help to ensure Another Place The Lake provides an exceptional guest experience. You must also be passionate about food with previous experience of working within a similarly high quality environment. What you would be doing on a weekly basis
Assisting the head chef in the effective and efficient organisation, supervision and control of the kitchen operation.
Preparing, cooking and portioning of all dishes to the hotel’s standards of quality and quantity.
Maintaining the hotel’s standards of personal appearance, cleanliness and hygiene within the kitchen areas.
To communicate, liaise and maintain working relationships with the restaurant manager, waiting staff and the rest of the kitchen team.
Helping to ensure a safe environment for both staff and guests and adhering to the company’s health and safety policy and procedures
Previous experience in a similar establishment
NVQ 1 Food Hygiene certificate/training
Interest and passion for the food industry
Flexible attitude to working hours and variable shift patterns
Basic computer skills
Creative and aware of what trends are in the catering business
Excellent international culinary knowledge across various cuisine types
