Theatre by the Lake

Theatre by the Lake has to have one of the most breathtaking settings of any theatre in the UK; perched on the shores of Derwentwater, a visit to a show is always accompanied by some unforgettable views.

Described by The Telegraph as combining “a spot as idyllic as anywhere on Earth, with first-class theatrical entertainment”, the theatre puts on multiple highly acclaimed shows throughout the year, across its two stages. And, guests of Another Place receive a discount on tickets.

With an eclectic mix of performances, screenings, literature and mountain festivals, belly laugh comedies and roof-raising musicals, there’s something for everyone.  And of course, nipping out in the interval to have your ice-cream or drink down by the lake as the sun sets is pretty special.

Expect “big, bold, and beautiful” productions with the upcoming Spring/ Summer 2022 season overflowing with extraordinary stories. Here’s a selection of our upcoming favourites…
