After falling in love with the eclectic bright and broody drama of Ullswater’s landscape, Household set to work on curating a unique colour palette for their interior design of Another Place, The Lake. Inspired by the lake, fells and local crafts, the colour palette draws on the unmistakable Lake District hues of leaded greys and meadow greens to form its base. Accent colours – russet reds and mustard yellow – add pops of colour. Together with natural woods and woven fabrics, the colour palette reflects our great outdoors.
Our custom-made furniture, also designed by Household, shows off this colour combination. Each piece has been designed with the end-user in mind to create an environment that lives and breathes active relaxation. The furniture creates a sense of home, while being highly functional for use in a busy, modern hotel. The look and feel of the furniture embraces a contemporary, relaxed environment with a nod to the hotel’s history and classic features that sit alongside the new in harmony.
We went to have a look at the furniture in production to give you a first look at what’s to come.
