Thousands of acres of views and sheep grazing on farmland surrounded by mountains and fells. Langdale Valley is everything The Lake District as it should be.
Born in Germany, raised in Jamaica, landscape photographer Amelia LeBrun has chosen the Lake District as one of her favourite destinations. Here’s what happened when she visited Another Place and got out in the fells.
Saturday 26 May – Sunday 3 June
May half term is a great time to visit the lakes. Get out on the fells or out and about around Ullswater. With plenty of activities to do together as a family, or enjoy time to yourself whilst the kids learn new skills.
Enjoy the views and fresh air surrounding Another Place without the worry of losing your way, with guided walks from Lake District National Park.
Step outside, take in the fresh air of the Eden Valley and discover all that Cumbria has to offer with Visit Eden, from 17 – 25 March for English Tourism Week.
One of the team at Another Place recently took her young family to the latest Peter Rabbit exhibition at Rheged and even though they have all grown up with Peter Rabbit she found out that there was still a lot more to discover.
The Lake District has gone hopping mad to celebrate the release of Peter Rabbit. See what we’re getting up to at Another Place and watch Beatrix Potter’s beloved children’s book characters come to life with exhibitions and screenings.
Saturday 24 March – Sunday 15 April
Easter is a great time to be at our place with stand-up paddleboarding, raft building and night walks, and also to visit other places nearby, including Lowther Castle, Rheged Centre and the Theatre by the Lake.
